We need to display operating system installed date in glpi. This date is not captured in ocs agent.

Please let me know how I can get operating system installed date in ocs server and glpi.

Win Agent 2.1.1 TLS 1.1 with OCS Server 2.1.2?

Hi,

We have an OCS Server 2.1.2 (CentOS) and the UNIX Agent and MaCOS Agents can report without problems using TLS 1.1 or 1.2, but I haven´t found how to do it with the Windows Agent. I have downloaded the Windows Agent 2.3 but does not work, can't connect with the server. Is it possible to set up the Windows Agent with TLS 1.1 or 1.2 and report to our OCS Server 2.1.2? Or should we update our server to OCS Server 2.3or higher?

  • Agent : OCS-NG_unified_unix_agent_v2.3.1

[Issue]

Hi,

My Agent for OS X doesn't download the package.

The "Active Status" of the package remains "Notified" for several days. 

Agent for Windows can download the same package with same cacert.pem.

Both Agents for OS X and Windows can upload the inventory information to the server.

Any idea ?

I have a debian server with OCS.I install agent (windows 7) and set user(admin) and password.But the agent do not report.I check database everything is look ok.I attach logs .Can you help me PLEASE

another way is to let ocs search for this registry key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\InstallDate

But you must convert the unix time

for  example

1357790033

Is equivalent to:

01/10/2013

 

All the registry key can be imported by glpi

the advantage is that you can collect many different informations

for example keyboard layout, display language, os language, et cetera from registry, and you can search in glpi for all of this kind of stuff

Hi,

I am utilizing the OCSNG Unix Packager 1.0 (also tried 1.1) to create an Agent package for Ubuntu 16.04.4. The package works when using 'http' to connect to the OCSNG Inventory Server but does not when using 'https' (SSL).

client:~$ sudo /opt/ocsinventory/ocsinventory-agent -s https://OCSNGServer/ocsinventory 
--basevardir=/opt/ocsinventory/var/lib/ocsinventory-agent

The needed Perl module is included in the Agent Package in '/opt/ocsinventory/perl/lib/5.26.0/URI/https.pm', so what's the problem?

the user account under which the ocs agent works DOES have Network access

The account(Local System) act as the computer account on Network - so perhaps you only must give access to everyone or to the computer accounts on the share.

Issue with SNMP scan on remote network

Hello,

I have some troubles configuring SNMP scan for remote network as explained in the documentation: https://wiki.ocsinventory-ng.org/index.php?title=Documentation:SNMP#Configuring_custom_parameters

After following the documentation and running a scan, if I check the logs, the SNMP remote network parameter seems to be OK:

Hi hamaguchi,

I have the same issue on test platform that we start to use. We have a old version in production environnement that works well (inventory and deployment with Windows and MacOS computer).

In test environnement, we use the same version as you (OCS server 2.4.1 on CentOS 7, Windows 10 with last agent version and MacOS 10.11 with last version agent).

Inventory works for both Windows and Mac computer but download only work with Windows (same cacert.pem but we use the SSL=0 option).

We made test with old version of the Mac Agent (2.0.3) and that gave us this log :

So, we can see that the handshake ssl process does not work and the deployment status goes to ERR_DOWNLOAD_INFO (we use the same cacert.pem).

With the last agent, we do not have any information about this handshake ... We work on this issue.

Merci,

J'avais bien déjà installé manuellement le package ifconfig. J'ai finalement résolu mon problème en prenant le .tar.gz sur github. La version sur apt-get était la 2.0.5 qui n'est pas à jour. Et cela fonctionne à présent. Merci.

Inventory does not work on Windows 10 1709

I use OCS inventory (ocs agent .3.1.1) on many computers with different versions of Windows (Windows 7,8.1, XP, 10 (V10586, V14393 and 15063) and works correctly, the server shows updated inventories.

in Windows 10 1709 (Fall creators update) the inventar does  not appear on the server.
What can it be? Incompatibility with the latest version of Windows 10?  Any suggestions for solving the problem?                ..

I have a project using OCS Inventory for all our clients in different locations. We have a datacenter that all the virtual machines of all our clients are installed. Don't know how the tools and configuration to done this. Hope someone can help me about this problem. thanks
