Agent 2.4 for Unix - wrong number of CPUS

Hello,

I'm pretty new to OCS Inventory NG and I was suffering from the issue which is also discussed here:

http://ask.ocsinventory-ng.org/3705/wrong-number-operating-system-enterprise-linux-server-release

My installation is quite old, but I already have version 2.4 up and running and I'm currently planning the migration to the new version.

So right now I'm using OCS inventory server version 2.4 and ocsinventory-agent-2.4.0-1.el7.ocs.src.rpm (from the repo) which is reported as NG_unified_unix_agent_v2.3.1 in the web frontend.

I upgraded the ocsinventory-agent to version 2.4 on one of my RHEL 7.4  boxes and the number of CPUs is still wrong. With the old version I always had +1 CPU, but now the frontend shows me 128 rows, whereas only 1 row contains useful information.

It shows

PROCESSOR(S)

1-10 Result(s) (Download)

128 Result(s) (Download)

at the top of the hardware page.

cat /proc/cpuinfo

"/SSL=1 /S /FORCE /NOW /SERVER=https://ocsserv.domain.local:443/ocsinventory"

Hi @sachin1992 ,

if I understood your request, your remote servers do not accept the downloading of files exceeding 300 kb ...

300 kb is a very low value and actually it seems that you have to cut the OCS package into 17 files and then rebuild it at the destination, which is not ideal.

This 300 kb limitation can not be changed ?

Hi,

this operation is to realize on how many machines ? Are they all on the same LAN ? Which version of Office pack ?

After copying the sources (Office) to a network shared folder, a script should be able to do the trick:

- Run the setup with the desired options (auto mode, etc.)
- Add an answer file (XML) to obtain an automatic process

Hi @bigMushu ,

This will be corrected in the next version.

Thank you Stéphane for your answer, but from what i have noticed the ocs deploy runs with SYSTEM user and it doesn't has network access.  All the machines are different LANs and i am trying to upgrade from office 2013 to office 2016. The only way i was able to do it is to download through https the office kit run the upgrade script and delete the office kit from the machine.
