I dont know where to find ocsinventory.log, but my OCS agent and server version is 2.1.1 (same version)

When i installing OCS agent in step 'OCS Inventory NG Server Properties', i filled server url with this : http://172.16.21.229/ocsinventory

It thas correct? 172.16.21.229 is my IP Server.

This is my apace error.log :

Hi

Unix agent inventories usb devices that are connected to the machine. But on the server a mysql table is missing. This is usbdevices table. We're working on patch for this. Stay tuned and take a look as soon as possible at ocs github site.

Hi,

I try to connect an Agent on Win7 Workstation to my OCS-Server ( Debian 8.7), same Version of Agent and Server (2.3.0.0) . Connection fails with Error.

Already red the entries in this Forum but found no solution...

The Agent produce an Inventary file I can import manually in the Website but there is no connection. I get this Logfile:

Bonjour,

Merci d'avance !

Hi,

Is it possible to install software on your thin clients or are your thin clients considered as black box?

Are you in an AD environment? If yes, you can use a gpo to deploy the agent.

Hi all,
I cannot figured out how to enable deployment server

on the server I create ocsng.key and a self-signed ocsng.pem certificate following some tutorial (even this one http://wiki.ocsinventory-ng.org/index.php?title=Howtos:Install_OCS_on_debian#Configure_HTTPS_on_web_server)

I copied the same ocsng.pem file renamed in cacert.pem on the windows client agent directory

This is Agent configuration file:

[OCS Inventory Agent]
ComProvider=ComHTTP.dll
Debug=0
Local=
NoSoftware=0
HKCU=0
NoTAG=0
IpDisc=
[HTTP]
Server=https://ocsng.example.org/ocsinventory
SSL=1
CaBundle=cacert.pem
AuthRequired=0
User=
Pwd=
ProxyType=1
Proxy=proxy.example.org
ProxyPort=3128
ProxyAuthRequired=0
ProxyUser=
ProxyPwd=
[OCS Inventory Service]
PROLOG_FREQ=1
INVENTORY_ON_STARTUP=1
OLD_PROLOG_FREQ=24
TTO_WAIT=40200

Then on the Windows machine, I stopped OCS Inventory Service and launch the following command

"c:\Programmi\OCS Inventory Agent\OCSInventory.exe" /debug=2 /force
ProLog is sent to server and everything works except Download service that shows in OCSInventory.log:

AGENT => Communication Server ask for Package Download
DOWNLOAD => Package history file successfully cleaned for duplicate IDs
DOWNLOAD => Download disabled by server
What am I doing wrong? Is self-signed certificate OK for deployment server?
Thanks,
Max

Mac OS X packager

Thank you for your answer.

But, I thought this is a packager where I can fill in the entries for OCS Server URL, the path to the logfile and the tag. Looks like the link in my question above.

Is there a howto to work with the Macosx-Packager-master? So that I have at least a PKG-File for deploying?

Many thanks

Greetings

Is the SUPPORT setting related to the SOAP problem or are there two seperate problems?

Where can I set SUPPORT ?

I'm a newbie on OCS Inventory and have been helped by a friend to set up OCS Inventory on a LAMPP stack. Now that I'm installing the first Windows client I'm already getting in trouble with the communication of client and server.

Here some technical details:

SERVER system

  • OS Name : Linux x86_64
  • Version : 4.8.0-1-amd64
  • RAM installed : 492 Mo
  • Free RAM : 144 Mo
  • CPU : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2609 0 @ 2.40GHz
  • Distribution : Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch)
  • PHP Version : 5.6.20-1 (apache2handler)
  • Web Server : Apache/2.4.25 (Debian)
  • Database Server : (Debian) version 5.6.30-1
  • Version OCSReports: 2.3

Client System

  • OS: Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit SP1
  • OCS Version: 2.3.0.0

OCSINVENTORY.INI

[OCS Inventory Agent]

[OCS Inventory Service]
PROLOG_FREQ=10

The client is installed as service with Local System account and started. The systray app is running and I'm able to start the "OCS Inventory agent now" and also let me "Show inventory information".

A read a lot of FAQ, Q&A, WIKI, DOCS and forum but my problem seems to be a bit unique, because when I call "ocsinventory.exe /server:myserver /debug=2" I'm  missing 'http://myserver:80/ocsinventory" in the line
"COM SERVER => Sending HTTP Post request to URL <>", see full debug log below.
