states that the user adii has no permissions to write to mentioned directory. You have to run the command as root.

There is a problem with name resolution (DNS). Either create a DNS entry for ocsinventory-ng or add an entry to /etc/hosts or use the IP of the server as Frank already explained.

do you plan to correct the behavior and release a new version of the perl-Ocsinventory-Agent RPM for RHEL7, or should we try to fix it on our own?

i have ocs server and ocs agent version 2.4 in the same machine ( Ubuntu 16.04 ),
int the file /etc/ocsinventory-agent/ocsinventory-agent.cfg, i have configured it as follow :
after i had launched ocsinventory-agent using debug mode , like this:
# ocsinventory-agent --debug
i hade a result with an error line at the end

,with your help i was able to fix it by launching the agent as root user. and then i added --server https://@ip/ocsinventory on the command line
So, now my question is , how do i get the SNMP inventory results to show in the web interface
HOW CAN I SEE THE TABLE THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE CONTAINING ALL THE SNMP DEVICES SCANNED BY OCS AGENTS???

i have ocs server and agent version 2.4 in the same machine 'UBUNTU 16.04'
i was able to scan devices in my network , but the problem i had with the devices's types ,
snmp can't scan for example cisco devices , all others devices i've discovered are showing to me as printers 'even tho some of them are not '
i couldn't find the source of the problem.
Here is the error message, when I open the Packer, with administrator credentials it gives me the error at the first screen.
Believe it or not the problem was with antivirus blocking execution, more specifically with the adptive threat protection module !

I tried to get new pcs into my ocs database and that worked out quite well, but every time I force inventory on the client computer the agent log file states the following:
I currently run the OCS-Inventory Ng Server 2.4 and the client is 3.1.1.

I am utilizing the OCSNG Unix Packager 1.0 (also tried 1.1) to create an Agent package for Ubuntu 16.04.4. The package works when using 'http' to connect to the OCSNG Inventory Server but does not when using 'https' (SSL).

The needed Perl module is included in the Agent Package in '/opt/ocsinventory/perl/lib/5.26.0/URI/https.pm', so what's the problem?
