We have a problematic question.
Several machines are duplicated for no reason.
For some, Windows 7 with a 2.4 agent, in the ocsinventory.log we have these kind of messages:
AGENT => Sending Prolog
DID_CHECK => MAC Address changed
new:<XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XXYY:YY:YY:YY:YY:YY>
old:<ZZ:ZZ:XX:XX:XX:XXDD:DD:XX:XX:XX:XXYY:YY:YY:YY:YY:YY>
DID_CHECK => Generating new unique ID for device
However, it is the same machine and no modification of the MAC address has been made.
I have read on some forums that this problem had been reported for agents <2.4, and that with this version the problem was resolved.
How to explain this phenomenon?
Even after deleting old records from the same station, duplication occurs again.
Has anyone experienced this problem and come up with a solution?
